The PADC has become an arts organisational member of The Chamber of Arts and Culture Western Australia.
The Chamber believes that a vibrant and diverse arts and cultural scene is essential for economic, social and personal well-being and works directly with The Department of Culture and the Arts and the Hon. David Templeman MLA.
The DCA defines cultural and creative industries as those that turn original individual creativity into social and commercial outcomes for local, national and international markets. Advertising, visual design, film, television and radio are all recognised as important contributors to both employment and economic outcomes for Western Australia.
PADC President Josh Edge says “it is important for the club to support The Chambers work and be part of important conversations. As the club’s mission is to support, assist and acknowledge the creators of commercial communications, there is a role for the club to ensure greater awareness of what our members do and the high calibre of talent and work being produced in Western Australia”.
The Aboriginal Art Centre Hub WA, Artsource, Australian Screen Editors (WA), CinefestOZ, Fashion Council WA, Fremantle Arts Centre, Fremantle Press, Heritage Perth, Media Entertainment Arts Alliance, Perth International Arts Festival, Professional Film Crew of Western Australia, Screenwest, The Creative Corner, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company just some of the Western Australian organisations to the PADC join as members.
